Each book of the Twilight Series has a song that was of inspiration during Stephenie Meyer’s writing process. Twilight was dedicated to MUSE, and now New Moon’s leading musical influence is Blue October, specifically the song “Hate Me.” The song in totally in sync with the point where Edward leaves Bella in New Moon. Hopefully the song will make it onto the New Moon Soundtrack which is yet to be released.
Check out the video below which first clears up some rumors that have been going around, and then goes on to discuss Blue October’s inspirational force.

According to tmz.com, Stephenie Meyer is being accused of snagging the storyline of Twilight’s fourth book “Breaking Dawn.” Jordan Scott, the author making accusations against Stephenie, believes that the “Twilight tale contains a striking and substantial similarity” to Scott’s own, “The Nocturne.” Meyer’s rep is claiming that this is a hunk of B.S., and I could not agree more.
HOWEVER, A rep for Scott claims there are a “number of coincidences in the plotlines of the books, including a wedding, a post-wedding sex scene, a woman becoming sick because she’s carrying a child with “evil powers” and the death of a main character.” To see the full article, you can read more at TMZ. .
Please note: This is the second lawsuit brought against Ms. Meyer. In April 2009 her former college roommate, Heidi Stanton, claimed that the whole twilight series were based on a short story she wrote while both studied at Brigham Young University in Utah.
Poor Stephenie, having to deal with all these women trying to steal her claim to fame. Won’t work ladies, she is the one and only.

Muse, a popular band from England, is deemed for success in the United States. WHY? Because they are Stephenie Meyer’s favorite band and was very influential in the writing of Twilight! Supermassive Black Hole was first song played throughout Twilight. NOW, Muse’s new hit, Time is Running Out , will be featured in Eclipse. Here is the music video, and be sure to watch them this year at the MTV Video Awards on September 13!
MTV wrote an article on the connection Muse’s music had on Stephanie Meyer’s writing:
Any member of Team Edward (or Team Jacob) can surely tell you that Muse are Stephenie Meyer’s favorite band — she thanked them for their inspiration and called them “rock gods” in “New Moon” and “Eclipse,” and then decided to dedicate “Eclipse” to the band for providing “a saga’s worth of inspiration.” Their “Supermassive Black Hole” also appeared on the soundtrack for the “Twilight” film.
But, perhaps not everyone who’s read the books is aware of the full impact the band had on Meyer … their music even influenced key scenes in the series, as she told MTV News last year.
“I was in Forks [Washington, the city where 'Twilight' is based] with my sister — before any of the books had come out, just sort of scoping it out,” Meyer said. “I was working on ‘Eclipse’ at the time, and I had [Muse's album] Absolution in, and ‘Hysteria’ came on and, in my mind, the kiss scene between [Bella] and Jacob just choreographed itself, down to how many steps he took toward her. So whenever I read that now, I always hear the song in my mind.”
Muse is to appear at the MTV Movie Awards on September 13th.
